Bengaluru: India’s largest market place for services, UrbanClap has teamed up with Chennai traffic police to promote road safety by keeping a check on those who break traffic rules. The main aim of the movement is to make individuals watchful about the significance of following traffic rules. As part of the activity, UrbanClap and Chennai police had distributed helmets to riders who are riding two-wheeler without helmets on 2nd Aug 2015. This initiative has helped built good relationship between the traffic police and the citizens.
Incorporated in 2013 by IITians – Varun Khaitan, Raghav Chandra and Abhiraj Bhal, UrbanClap is one stop solutions for all urban lifestyle services. Since inception, the platform serves the smartest means to find out and hire trusted professional. Today, the firm provides a range of services of about 60 categories, including photographers, electricians, yoga and guitar teachers and many more and serves hundreds of customers in Delhi every day. The firm also claims to have a gigantic services market and stand up for its good quality and trusted services.
Expanding its wings, the firm had raised $10 million in series A round of funding from SAIF and Accel Partners. It also raised $1.6 million in seed funding round from SAIF Partners, Accel Partners and the founders of Snapdeal - Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal.

So, we thought we should do our bit to serve the city and we’re grateful to the authorities for co-operating with us in this endeavour”.
On the other hand, similarly the firm had taken an initiative with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi earlier. It helped authorities by cleaned up the mess that had build up after the MCD workers went on a long strike turning East Delhi into a huge garbage dump.
