BookMeIn Grabs Rs.2.5 Crore Funding from Ajmera Group of Companies

Bengaluru: BookMeIn, a Mumbai-based hyper local service provider, raises Rs.2.5 crore in an angel funding round from Ajmera Group of Companies. The company plans to utilize the capital towards customer acquisition and also plans to add more service categories to its portal.
Run by Aadya Webservices Pvt. Ltd., BookMeIn was co-founded in 2014 by Siddharth Dalal, Ekta Dalal, Nidhi Chandel and Chaitanya Chandel. The company provides service professionals on four different categories – Beauty & Fitness, Health & Wellness, Home & Work, and Spirit & Healing.
The users can go through the services listed on the company portal and book an appointment of the required service personnel at their convenient time. The bookings can be done either by visiting the company website or through the mobile app. BookMeIn currently has its presence in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai and claims to receive 150 orders every day.
Recently, Flatpebble (photography professionals provider) had raised $600,000 from IAN, Urban Clap (home service needs provider) had raised $10 million from SAIF and Accel Partners; and Fixy (on-demand home maintenance service provider) had raised an undisclosed amount from Venture Nursery. Looking at this, it is evident that the hyperlocal service space has been very active in past few weeks. With the increasing number or mobile connections and smartphones in India, people are becoming more app-frenzy and this has inturn made the investors turn towards these startups.
