bMobilized, a mobile web startup, has raised $2.5 million in Series A funding, reports Sarah Perez of TechCrunch. This startup based in New York offers a technology to convert the present websites to HTML5, mobile sites. The fund was led by Norway’s Alliance Venture and Investinor and Alden AS. According to the investors, the recent funding has estimated the company’ growth to 400 percent.
The company provided a report that, over 2 lakh websites are converted using bMobilized technology. Prior to the present location, the company was based in Oslo with close ties with VC firms. Currently, the team has a headcount of fifteen people, which is focused on utilizing the tech talent in the U.S. business market. The additional funds will be used to expand market share of the company as well as for the development of the company.
The service provided by bMobilized includes features of sync between desktop sites and mobile sites which is customized. Other services include customizable templates, widgets and more. The company states that it converts a standard desktop site to mobile site within thirty seconds.
Other features of bMobilized include Automated Content Identifier (ACI), a technology that involves over 300 algorithms and it is used to analyze, detect and convert parts of the website. Other unique and various features of the company include “click to call”, “click to SMS “and “click to e- mail”. There are other 30+ features which offer other mobile –friendly options to consumers.
