Bangalore Based Startup Petoo Plans To Raise $10 Million in Series A

Bangalore: Online restaurant space, Petoo plans to raise about $10 million in series A round of funding. The company aims to utilize the fund to scale up its business in order to expand its footprint across Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, NCR and Mumbai over the next two years.

Founded in 2015 by Ritesh Dwivedy, Kumar Setu and Abhishek Mandal, Petoo is a centralized kitchen that produces food and dispatches from the distribution points and deliver its order within 20 minutes. Set up with a vision of three foodies, the firm aims to bring Indian food closer to people. Today, the firm claims to acquire 100 orders from restaurant aggregators like Foodpanda, JustEat and many more. Providing food in 8 distribution points in Bangalore, the firm claims to serves vegetarian & non-vegetarian options of Biryani.

Spreading its wings, the firm is planning to commence its own website and mobile app with features like 3-tap ordering, live order tracking on a map and many more. It also plans for taxi aggregators, bus operators in order to take orders for travelers. On the other hand, claims to have over 15 delivery boys, the firm is planning to expand  its team of  800-1000, when it enters the four cities including Pune, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.
