Bangalore: A metropolis based intra city logistics service supplier startup, Shippr has hiked its company’s seed funding up to Rs.3.21 crore with the backing from an initial stage shareholder and accelerator i2india IPR Pvt. Ltd. The fund is said to be used for expanding the trails of the venture to other geographies. The existing operation of Shippr is restricted to Bangalore and Chennai.
Anup Viswanathan, prime investee at i2india expressed his happiness and acknowledged Shippr for making a mark in an exceedingly unsystematic domain. He also added that Shippr holds the ability to emerge as a market leader soon.
According to Viswanathan, the team’s idea matches with that of i2inda – mobility, urbanization and consumption inversion. Debuted in 2014 under the helm of Rohit Fernandes and Phaneendra Hegde, Shippr assists in arranging parcels and delivering products to the customers in an effortless manner. On the other hand, i2india is a $10 million seed wealth organization which endows companies in India with maturation and seed stage monetary assistance.
