Bangalore: New York based cleaning and maintenance startup, Managed By Q raises $15 million in its Series A round of funding, led by RRE Ventures. Greycroft Partners, Homebrew, Sherpa Ventures, SV Angel and Steadfast Financial also participated in the round, while the charm was further increased by the participation from angel investors, Foursquare Co-Founder Naveen Selvadurai, Gary Vaynerchuk, Semil Shah, Jessica Alba, Bjarke Ingels, and NBA commissioner David Stern. Powered by the robust advancement, the company wishes to use the funds to expand its services across the country.
Founded in 2013 by Saman Rahmanian and Dan Teran, Managed By Q provides office cleaning and other smart services to help the offices run their operations smoothly. Run by the Managed By Q app installed in an iPad which are set up in its clients' offices, the company takes a greater pride in its cleaning staff who have enabled the company to draw a quick success, while their iPad dashboard provides a full summary of the cleaning activities that are being done. It shows exactly when the cleaning staff came in and went out, and what tasks have been accomplished.
Managed By Q offers its services right from servicing a broken AC and technical support to furniture assembly and painting, along with scheduled cleanups and inventory re-stocks. The company also offers FaceTime based customer support service for issues related to placing order or using the app. Managed By Q has been operating in San Francisco from past six weeks and it currently claims to have clients like Shyp, Everlane, AngelList and Quirky, with over 200 additional offices in its SF wait list.
