BabyChakra Seals an Undisclosed Amount of Series-A Funding from RoundGlass

Bengaluru: BabyChakra, the fastest growing platform for parents to discover care for their family, raises an undisclosed amount of Series-A funding from Seattle based global digital health care firm, RoundGlass. This Series-A funding will aid BabyChakra for developing their products and creating localized contents. Previously, this startup had raised an undisclosed amount of Non-Equity Assistance funding by Artha India Ventures and Microsoft Accelerator Bangalore in February 2016, and also a seed funding of $600,000 by Mumbai Angels and Singapore Angle Network in June 2015.

“We created BabyChakra for two reasons: one because young couples are essentially raising children in nuclear families with no support system to fall back on. Secondly, this same community of young couples are also highly-active online consumers who use the internet to find homes, to seek guidance on technology purchases, and look for recommendations for restaurants and travel destinations. We saw a critical void for an online resource for childcare and parenting. It’s such a critical function, but no platform existed. We decided to solve this and build the first platform of its type, globally. Today, we have grown exponentially and are working towards making BabyChakra the trusted ally of every young mother in India,” says Naiyya Saggi, Co-Founder & CEO, BabyChakra.

Founded by Naiyya, Mitesh Karia and Mohit Kumar in 2015, BabyChakra is a parenting platform in India for pregnancy and childcare for resources and information on parenting and early childhood development. Its has over 5,00,000 registered monthly visitors via its website and mobile App.

“Supporting the health and wellness of mothers and babies is the foundation of building a healthy future. BabyChakra has created a powerful online resource for parents,” says Sunny Singh, Founder of RoundGlass. “At RoundGlass, our mission is to change people’s lives for the better. We want to help build platforms like BabyChakra that offer online resources and education for parents – to help our newest generation thrive. I believe that digital health solutions can have a profound impact on India and that BabyChakra delivers an invaluable resource for parents,” adds Sunny.
