Bangalore: Hyderabad based architectural design and consulting firm, Arth Designbuild raises Rs.4.1 crore in seed round of funding from Srinivas Tirupati, the former Vice President of Corporate Affairs at SABMiller. Arth Designbuild will utilize the raised fund to train Building Information Modeling (BIM) professionals to serve global clients.
Founded in 2012 by Arun Chaubey, Kailash Chandola, Thumu Karthik Reddy and Swapnil Sahu, Arth Designbuild helps startups design their offices according to their budget. The company backed by Accel and SAIF partners is currently designing the Bengaluru office for Swiggy, a food delivery startup, aims to save nearly 20% in building costs by incorporating Building Information Modelling (BIM) in its planning and visualization process. Built structure have to be broken down for laying network of electricity and various others factors, and may lead to loss of time and cost. BIM, which uses augmented visualization, goes beyond 3D and can be used in architecture and the layout is available for reference and better execution.
