API Development Platform Postman Raises $1 Million from Nexus Venture Partners

Bangalore: Bangalore based API (Application Program Interface) development startup Postman raises $1 million in seed funding round from early stage venture firm, Nexus Venture Partner. The fund will be utilized to set up an office in San Francisco this year and hire new talent. The company also expects to deploy the funds to grow its range of products and testing solutions for API development. However, the firm wants to maintain a small team.

Founded in 2013 by Abhinav Asthana and Ankit Sobti, Postman is an influential API testing suite, which has become an indispensable tool for developers. The company offers a APIs teams for building amazing APIs and improving the developer productivity. Focuses on providing the most comprehensive API development and testing solution for developers, the Bangalore based startup build, document and test an APIs faster than usual.

Expanding its reach, the firm claims to have more than 800,000 active users and 1.5 million have been registered. Used by more than a half a million developers globally, Postman limited version of its services is available for free. However, the full Postman Sync service is priced at $49 per month with up to ten developers.
